Financial Advisor & Special Needs Planner

My goal is to make a difference in the lives I touch, by enabling clients who need and want my help to protect themselves and their loved ones. My unique ability is analyzing my client's complex and confusing circumstances, finding a suitable solution for that client, and communicating the results in ways my clients can both understand and act upon.

I accomplish that for my clients by drawing on over 35 years of experience, first as a certified public accountant in public accounting and in industry, and since 1989, additionally as a financial services professional. I joined the Bridger Financial Group team in 2017.

In my role as a financial advisor, I work with successful individuals and businesses. For businesses, I design and implement retirement plans (from simple IRA's to 401k's to "nonqualified" plans), business succession plans and selective benefits. For individuals, I have, for several years, acted as an "advanced case specialist," assisting colleagues and their clients with complex planning. In particular, I have specialized training and extensive experience working with special needs individuals and their families.

I currently serve as the Board Secretary and am a founding board member of TC House, Inc., a 501(c)(3) created to build a home for young adults with Down Syndrome, providing them the opportunity to live as independently as possible. I also serve as a member of the Planned Giving Advisory Board of the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh; I am a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPA’s and since 2020 I have been serving on the Board of Gateway Rehab.

I graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame in 1975, then earned my MBA from Duquesne University in 1982. I live in the West Hills with my wife Mary Ellen: our three adult children are enjoying successful careers of their own in Boston, Dayton, and New York.
